Earlier, German newspaper Die Welt reported that certain disagreements within the German government were stalling the expansion of German military assistance to Kyiv.

On April 28, the German parliament overwhelmingly voted in support of providing Ukraine with heavy weapons.

After weeks of delays, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has now said that Germany will arm Ukraine in its war to defeat the full-scale Russian invasion.
