Germany defender Thilo Kehrer has joined AS Monaco on loan from West Ham United, with the French club having the option to buy the 27-year-old.

Monaco announced the deal until the end of the season of Friday.

Former Schalke player Kehrer knows Ligue 1 well from his time at Paris Saint-Germain, where he spent four years before leaving for England in 2022.

He had fallen out of favour in London of late and also lost his place in the Germany squad.
