Germany's longest suspension bridge opens

STORY: 664 meters (2170 feet) long with a height of up to 100 meters (328 feet) and a weight of 120 tons, the company behind the project, Skywalk, is glad to at last have cut through the red tape of German bureaucracy.

"The back and forth with 3D modelling and authorities and inspectors took six years. But now we are really at the end of a long journey on the one hand and on the other hand, now we are expecting a lot of tourists to experience here this bridge", said Ulrich Keude, one of the CEOs of Skywalk, to Reuters on Thursday (June 29).
