Pap smears, mammograms and women’s wellness information will be provided for  uninsured women, free of charge. Participants are asked to bring a form of ID and a mask to the location.

Services will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Refreshments will be provided. Spanish speaking representatives will be available.

There will be providers on site for these tests.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, these events have been unable to take place recently.

"We want women to know that we exist and are available for them," said Jennifer Wagenhoffer, Outreach Specialist at the TTUHSC Breast Center of Excellence.

For women who cannot make it to the Hereford event, a CPRIT grant is available. Participants can call and fill out the application over the phone; once they qualify, they can set up an appointment with a provider.

"This is a chance for us to get back out there. I know a lot of women put their health care on hold during the pandemic," Wagenhoffer said.

For more information or to apply, call (806) 414-9556.

"Screening saves lives; please come and get these preventative screenings. If someone can't make it to the event in Hereford, that's okay; we serve 26 counties. We are always just a phone call away and ready to help," Wagenhoffer said.
