Dozens of people gathered in Boston on Saturday for a memorial bicycle dedicated to a Cambridge man who was killed in a bike crash earlier this month.

George Clemmer, 71, of Cambridge, was fatally struck by a dump truck on July 13, leaving behind his partner and three children.

On Saturday morning a white bike -- known as a “ghost bike” -- was placed on the corner of Mass. Ave and Huntington Ave. in Boston, where he was struck.

The Boston biking community called for safer streets for bicyclists and the city to act faster in creating additional biking lanes.

On Friday members of the House passed a bill that would reduce traffic fatalities across the city. This bill was first introduced in 2017.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates as more information becomes available.
