Ghost, a Grammy-winning rock band, is coming to Peoria Civic Center in September

The Grammy Award-winning Swedish theatrical rock band Ghost will perform at the Peoria Civic Center's Carver Arena on Sept. 21.

Ghost is known for its eccentric onstage presence, with band members dressed in face-concealing costumes and its frontman sporting a prosthetic mask and makeup. Ghost's music has been categorized as hard rock, heavy metal and doom metal, among other genres.

The band won a Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance in 2016 for the song "Cirice."

Opening for Ghost will be the Grammy-winning heavy metal band Mastodon.
