Are ghosts lurking in Minnesota home for sale? Zillow Gone Wild thinks so. Take a look

A big project for a dreamer has landed on the real estate market in Winona, Minnesota, and while the estate has an alluring asking price, fixing it up will take time and love.

The eight bedroom, six-bathroom estate may look like it was ripped out of “Jumanji,” but the $750,000 home has a lot of potential with its 8,000 square feet.

“This sprawling mansion, originally known as the Briarcombe Farm, is situated on 15 acres adjacent to Signatures Golf Course,” the listing on Zillow.com says.

Features of the fixer-upper include:

  • Billiard room

  • Swimming pool

  • Gazebo

There’s even a “hidden” library, according to the listing.

Zillow Gone Wild, a Facebook page and Twitter account that highlights unique houses on the market, has some thoughts, though.

Mainly the fact that the home looks like it hosts a few “undead” guests.

“Haunted,” one person just straight up said.

“Am I the only one who thinks this is 1 big Clue game???” another asked. “I want to buy it and have mystery dinner parties every night! This is an actually very cool home.”

“I’d live here so hard,” someone noted.

“So cool but imagine the cost of fixing it up? It probably has all kinds of surprise issues lurking,” one person commented.

“A great place to inherit from a distant relative then hit your head and suddenly be able to see and interact with all the ghosts therein,” another joked.

I’ll pay extra if it’s haunted,” someone tweeted.

This is how The Haunting of Hill House happened,” one person said.

While most people were absolutely puzzled by the photo with the pool and the figure in the background, rest assured that it’s no ghost, but rather Jennifer Cisewski with Edina Realty, who holds the listing.

“The Briarcombe mansion is a very unique home and I love the history behind it,” Cisewski told McClatchy News. “There is actually a tunnel that connects the two structures.”

And yes, she’s aware people are mistaking her for an apparition.

“I laughed when I read someone’s comments online about the figure at the ‘pond’. That is me, lingering in the bushes.”

Winona is about 55 miles east of Rochester.

The home is currently listed as “pending.”
