Here's the latest Giants buzz heading into the 2023 NFL Draft...

April 26, 12:03 p.m.

The receiver some view as the best in the draft is drawing serious interest from the Giants.

USC wideout Jordan Addison, who has met with the New England Patriots, Baltimore Ravens, Minnesota Vikings, and Buffalo Bills (among others) in addition to the Giants, said at a pre-draft event on Wednesday that he had spoken with Big Blue a lot.

The 21-year-old was limited due to an ankle injury this past season, but still reeled in 59 catches for 875 yards and eight touchdowns.

He was phenomenal in 2021 during what was his sophomore season, with 100 catches for 1,593 yards and 17 touchdowns.

The first day of the 2023 NFL Draft is just over a week away, and the Giants continue to bring in prospects for up-close looks.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Alabama defensive back Brian Branch is visiting the Giants on Wednesday.

Branch, who has visited with a handful of other teams, played all over the Crimson Tide's defensive secondary. He can line up as a slot corner, play over the top as a safety, or even play down in the box to blitz or stuff the run.

In three seasons with Alabama, Branch had 172 total tackles, 4.0 sacks, three interceptions and 23 pass break-ups.

The Giants locked in quarterback Daniel Jones to a four-year contract this offseason, but building some depth in the QB room is a necessity with Jones and Tyrod Taylor the only two signal-callers currently on the roster.

According to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, University of Tennessee QB Hendon Hooker will visit the Giants on Wednesday.

Already 25 years old, Hooker is an intriguing prospect who has been rising up mock drafts into the first round lately. But because he tore his ACL in his left knee in November, teams want to see how he's recovering ahead of next week's draft.

Tennessee's Jalin Hyatt will have a pre-draft visit with the Giants when he travels to New York on Wednesday, reports Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, with Boston College's Zay Flowers also scheduled to meet with Big Blue on Wednesday.

Flowers, who was just ranked as the No. 10 overall draft prospect according to ESPN, caught 78 passes for 1,077 yards with Boston College this past season, scoring 12 touchdowns.

The 5-foot-9, 182-pound receiver ran a 4.42 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis.

Hyatt, 21, is coming off a junior season where he emerged as one of the best receivers in the country.

He hauled in 67 catches for 1,267 yards (an average of 18.9) to go along with 15 touchdowns.

NFL.com analyst Lance Zierlein compares Hyatt to DeSean Jackson, writing:

Long, slender wideout with deep speed that could force defensive coordinators to alter coverage considerations. Hyatt’s gliding gait disguises explosive acceleration that can lead to easy separation on deep throws. However, he does display inconsistency on contested catches.

New York continues doing their due diligence on the top wide receivers in this year’s draft class.

Joe Schoen and Brian Daboll reportedly had dinner with TCU's Quentin Johnston on Wednesday night ahead of the school’s pro day, according to ESPN's Jordan Raanan.

Johnston could be one of the first receivers off the board next month. At 6-foot-4 and 215 pounds, he is one of the bigger playmakers in this year’s draft class.

Johnston is coming off a breakout season in which he finished as a Biletnikoff Award semifinalist, which honors the top wideouts in college football. Across 14 games, he made 60 catches and recorded 1,069 yards and three touchdowns.

Big Blue’s reps also met with him earlier this month at the NFL Combine.

Johnston is now the third receiver the Giants have met with ahead of their Pro Days; the other two being Boston College’s Zay Flowers and Ohio State’s Jaxson Smith-Njigba. USC receiver Jordan Addison also said he’s been in touch with the team.

Even after adding Darren Waller, Darius Slayton, and Parris Campbell to the mix this offseason the Giants appear interested in keeping an eye on the top receivers at No. 25.

March 29, 4:28 p.m.

The buzz surrounding the Giants and Boston College receiver Zay Flowers continues to grow, with Art Stapleton of NorthJersey.com reporting that Flowers will have a Top 30 visit with the Giants ahead of the draft.

Flowers previously had dinner with the Giants on the night before his pro day and also interviewed with the team during the NFL Combine in Indianapolis.

March 23, 3:40 p.m.

Boston College wide receiver Zay Flowers is scheduled to have back-to-back dinners with the New Orleans Saints and Giants on Thursday night ahead of his pro day on Friday, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

Flowers, a speedy wide receiver with exceptional release skills at the line of scrimmage, is considered by many to be a first-round pick, and has been linked to the Giants in plenty of mock drafts.

Listed at 5-foot-10, 177 pounds at BC, Flowers has added 13 pounds of muscle, per Pelissero, and is coming off an outstanding 1,077-yard, 12-touchdown season with the Eagles.

March 23, 12:11 a.m.

The Giants brass didn’t just take in wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s Ohio State pro day on Wednesday, but they also had dinner with him the night before.

“Great dinner, great conversation, great people and great coaches,” Smith-Njigba told reporters. “I feel they are on the come-up. You saw it last year with them making the playoffs and doing their thing. I definitely loved meeting with them, had a great conversation. A great time.”

Smith-Njigba, coming off a 1,606-yard season with nine touchdowns, could potentially be the first receiver to come off the board in this year’s draft.
