These Gigantic Pumpkins Are on Display at the New York Botanical Garden Through Halloween

There's likely no shortage of pumpkins on display in your neighborhood in the lead-up to Halloween, but some spots have more impressive gourds than others. One such example is the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx, which is currently playing host to three of the largest pumpkins in the Northeastern United States, on display through October 31st.

Located in the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory Plaza, these massive pumpkins were brought to the NYBG in collaboration with the Great Pumpkin Commonwealth, which recognizes the standard rules of weights, measurement, and fairness of competitive pumpkin growing. The pumpkins that are currently on display include:

• A 2,365-pound pumpkin grown by Andy Wolf from Little Valley, New York.

• A 2,201-pound pumpkin grown by Ron Wallace from Greene, Rhode Island.

• A 2,092-pound pumpkin grown by Alex Noel from Abington Pomfret, Connecticut.

You’re in luck, as there are presently a slew of art exhibits on display there, like Kusama: Cosmic Nature, which features works by celebrated Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama, who is known for her own eccentric pumpkin designs, as well as collaborations with brands like Louis Vuitton.
