Gigi And Zayn’s Vogue Shoot Cements Their Status As Fashion’s New It Couple

Move over Kim and Kanye, the fashion world’s new power duo is Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik.
The duo cemented their relationship status, and indeed their status as the industry’s new “it” couple, with a spread in Vogue US - because nothing says commitment like a couple of snapshots printed in the fashion bible.
The couple have only been dating for around four months, but clearly they’re pretty into each other. First Gigi, 20, starred in Zayn’s music video for his single “Pillow Talk” and now they’re gracing the pages of Vogue, in a sizzling shoot by legendary photographer Mario Testino. You can practically feel the heat from the shots.
Aptly titled “Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik’s wanton weekend in Naples”, the pics show the pair leaning in for a smooth on a balcony overlooking the city, racing around the cobbled streets on a motorbike and getting steamy in the bedroom. The style is second to none and the PDA level is perfect.

Factoring the fact that Vogue knew the shoot of two of the hottest young stars in the world would go viral, we sure the decision makers at the publication are giving themselves a pat on the back for what’s already becoming a fast success.
It’s a landmark shoot for the pair as they’re the only couple to have been featured in Vogue since *that* Kim and Kanye cover, which received mixed reviews. But perhaps that fact that Gigi is a bonafide model will placate die-hard readers of the magazine this time around.

And what of the most important element of the shoot, the fashion? Well if you’re a fan of gingham you’ll be happy - if not then you might want to look away, as there’s almost as much checked attire featured in the photos as there is sex appeal.
In one shot, Gigi models a plaid dress by Victoria Beckham, in another she’s seen donning a Miu Miu shirt.
But it’s the Solid & Striped bikini that she wears while doing a handstand in bed (casual, like) that catches our eye - it’s got echoes of the vintage two-piece Rachel McAdams’ character wore in “The Notebook” that we will eternally lust after.
