Gilbert boys golf team wins the Dutch Invitational

The Gilbert boys golf team picked up its first victory of the season by winning the Dutch Invitational on the Bos Landen course in Pella Thursday.

The Tigers won the 18-hole meet with a score of 321. They beat Pella Christian's 325 for the victory and Knoxville shot a 329, Winterset at 345 and Pella a 352.

Gilbert's Brock Snyder was medalist runner-up for the meet. He carded a 74 to finish one stroke behind the winning score of 73 by Knoxville's Evan Smith.

Joey Currans and Logan Youngberg each shot an 80 for Gilbert. Ryan Lynch and Hudson White tied for fourth on the team with identical rounds of 87 and Zach Wilson finished with an 89.

The Gilbert JV shot a 386 to finish second out of four schools behind Pella's 370.
