'Gilmore Girls' star Sean Gunn is coming to Sioux Falls for SiouxperCon this fall

“Gilmore Girls” television series star Sean Gunn, who played Kirk Gleason in both original series and the recent revival, is coming to SiouxperCon 2023: To Sioux Falls and Beyond this fall, announced the festival.

“We are Out-of-This-Galaxy excited to announce that Sean Gunn is coming to SiouxperCon 2023: To Sioux Falls and Beyond!” reads the announcement on the event's website.

In addition to starring in “Gilmore Girls,” Gunn is also known for playing a few characters in Marvel Universe, including Kraglin in the “Guardians of the Galaxy,” and other Marvel films, and providing motion reference for Rocket Racoon.

Gunn also reprised both roles in “Guardians of the Galaxy 3," said the SiouxperCon 2023 organizers.

“It’s not every day you get to meet someone who plays a character in Marvel Universe, and even more rare to meet someone who plays two!” said the organizers.

Gunn’s other credits include: “The Suicide Squad,” “I am Mortal,” “Agnes,” “The Belko Experiment,” “A Boy Called Po,” “Ordinary World,” and others. He has also appeared on “3rd Rock from the Sun,” “Glee,” “Yes, Dear,” “Bones," “The Rookie,” and more.

SuperCon is the Sioux Falls fandom convention. It attracts thousands of people from all over the country, providing a safe place for the people to come and celebrate who they are, Convention Director Shane Gerlach said.
