Gino and Fred get new ITV series without GordonITV

Gino D'Acampo and Fred Sirieix are set to reunite for a new ITV series, this time without Gordon Ramsay.

The three stars have been well known for their antics as a trio in Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip, though Gino and Fred's new series Emission Impossible will see just the two of them try to journey together in a greener fashion.

The show focuses on their attempts to eat, sleep and travel in the most sustainable way possible while adventuring to inspirational locations and people, including in Austria and around Croatian islands.

"Inspired by his children, Fred has genuinely become more eco-conscious and his concerns were accelerated by watching his beloved Europe burn in 40-degree temperatures this summer," the series synopsis reads.

"Therefore, he's determined to re-educate, re-cycle and re-engineer his eco-sceptic sidekick in their own backyard. Can they green up their act and become fully petro-flexible modern men, while still enjoying la dolce vita on a rip-roaring food odyssey?"

The Austrian stop comes as its capital Vienna was ranked as the world's greenest city in 2020, though the country is suffering from melting glaciers, while the Croatian islands are at risk of rising sea levels.

Along the way, Fred and Gino will be "tracking down sustainable produce and immersing themselves in environmentally-friendly lifestyles".

"We're thrilled to be upcycled by ITV for another action-packed adventure and can't wait to cook up some fantastic sustainable dishes whilst hopefully stirring up debate around these important issues," the duo said in a statement.

"We might not come up with the recipe to save the planet but we hope to entertain, inform and inspire the audience to think about making changes in their own lives."

The series comes after Fred revealed last month that Road Trip was "finished" amid scheduling issues, which came after Gino was forced to previously deny that he was feuding with his co-stars.

Emission Impossible will air on ITV.
