Festivities for the Italian fashion brand's 40th anniversary continue with the introduction of a limited edition version of its iconic "Si" fragrance, enclosed in a Murano glass bottle. The revisited fragrance will be available as of December 1 in select Giorgio Armani boutiques and department stores.
The special limited edition was created by atelier Salvati, one of the most prestigious makers of hand-blown glass in the pure tradition of Italian craftsmanship. Located on the island of Murano, the glassmaker is particularly specialized in the art of designing vibrantly colorful glass.
For the anniversary special of Giorgio Armani's Si fragrance, the master glassmakers found their inspiration in the perfume's original bottle, a true ode to femininity, transforming it into an ultra luxurious object.
Atelier Salvati created a pale pink teardrop sitting on top of a crystal prism. The bottle is decorated with a fine layer of 24-karat gold leaf. The crystal stopper is decorated throughout with a constellation of golden particles.
The "Si Edition Murano" bottle holds the same scent as "Si Eau de Parfum Intense" -- a chypre-based fragrance combined with notes of vanilla, dark wood and amber resin. Accords of cassis jungle essence, bergamot, mandarin, freesia, May rose and neroli absolute follow with a base of vanilla absolute, gold benzoin, vanilla jungle essence and patchouli.
Si Edition Murano is available this month in a limited edition of 75 bottles, in reference to the year the Armani label was launched.
