It's a girl!

Colts quarterback Carson Wentz announced on Instagram Tuesday night that he and his wife, Madison, had a girl. Hudson Rose Wentz is 7 pounds, 14 ounces and 19.75 inches.

"Welcome to the World my sweet Hudson Rose!" Wentz wrote on Instagram. "What an incredible blessing you already are to our family. Your Mama was an absolute champ. Can’t wait for you and your big sis to run the World— or at least my World"

The Wentzes also have a daughter, Hadley, who was born in April 2020.

Wentz said he wouldn't miss Sunday's game if his wife had gone into labor; he and his wife discussed the situation and both were on board with the decision.

“If it comes down to the game, I told my wife, ‘I’m playing, and then I’ll come see you at the hospital afterwards,’” Wentz said. “She knew that. She’s been great. … I think God will time it up the way it’s supposed to be timed.”

Sunday, ESPN's Chris Mortenson reported that the Wentzes planned to induce labor Monday. After the game, Colts coach Frank Reich said Wentz told him he would see him Wednesday; the next day the team would be practicing.
