Girl Delighted to Find Greeting Card With Her Face on It
Seven-year-old Lilia could not contain her excitement when she saw the greeting card she modeled for on shelves in Walmart.
Kenyana Freeman, Lilia’s mother, recorded this video in Kansas City, Missouri, on July 25. She told Storyful Lilia is not a professional model, but was asked by Hallmark to be in a photo shoot.
“She had no idea the card was already in stores. With her face dead center on the card, she couldn’t miss it,” Freeman said.
Freeman added, Lilia “couldn’t help but love it instantly.”
“It was such a great moment for us all,” she said. “Such a proud moment for other little girls of color who aren’t represented as much in the media.”
