Fans of Our Girl starring Michelle Keegan spotted a controversial gaffe in the show’s final episode.

Keegan made her last appearance as Georgie Lane in the fourth series of the BBC show, having replaced Lacey Turner’s character Molly Dawes after season two.

While the episode was emotional for fans who have grown fond of Keegan’s performance, it wasn’t so distracting that they missed something during the opening scenes.

Private Rhett “Cheese” Charlton is shown preparing tea, including a moment where he pours milk into his cup before adding the hot water.

Fans were predictably outraged, with one follower commenting: “If anyone ever made me a tea like that I’m afraid I’d have to throw it back in their face.”

“So sick on so many levels,” another wrote.

Another tweeted: “All of the crazy things that have happened this series but I just can’t get over the fact that cheese put the milk in first. It’s really got to me I’m not going to lie.”

“I don’t know what annoyed me more, the ending or Cheese putting milk in before the water making his cuppa,” someone chipped in.

Others joked that it was clear Cheese couldn’t be trusted due to his poor tea-making skills.

“Milk in before the water when making a cup of tea though?? knew cheese was a weirdo from the start,” one wrote.

Another said: “Clearly Cheese can’t be trusted because he put the milk in his tea before the water.”

Series four of Our Girl is available to watch on BBC1
