They're back: Where are Girl Scout cookies in Salem?

If you had a hard time finding Girl Scout cookies around the Salem area over the last couple months, don't panic. They are coming back.

Girl Scout cookie booth sales were delayed a month after the bakery, Little Brownie Bakers, had "issues," said Geoff Livengood, products manager of Service Unit 28, the Girl Scouts of Salem, Keizer & Polk County.

Booths manned by Girl Scouts will run March 17 through April 23.

In 10 seasons as a products manager, this year as the fifth with the local troops, Livengood had never had to delay the cookie sales.

He said in the end the delay worked out because the kids will not have to run the booths in the cold weather and snow.

For folks interested, there are nine classic flavors of cookies. The newest addition to the lineup, raspberry rally, was an online-exclusive and sold out in one day, Livengood said. All the other cookies will be available for purchase at the booths.

There are about 30 stores in the Salem/Keizer/Dallas/Monmouth area that will have booths. To find your closest booth, use the Girl Scouts cookie booth finder and enter your zip code for a list of locations.
