It's Girl Scout cookie time and there's a new flavor. Here's how to find them

It’s time to test those better eating resolutions (if you’re still with the program).

The Girl Scouts are at it again, taking orders for Thin Mints, Tagalongs and whatnot.

Girl Scouts of the USA kicked off its 2023 Girl Scout cookie season this week.

What types of Girl Scout cookies are available?

The young entrepreneurs — and their order sheet-wielding parents — are also slinging Trefoils, Samoas, Adventurefuls, Do-si-dos, Lemon-Ups, Girl Scout S’mores and Toffee-tastic, made by Kentucky-based Little Brownie Bakers.

New this year is the Raspberry Rally, thin, a crispy cookie infused with raspberry flavor, dipped in a chocolatey coating; but it’s available only online.

How much are Girl Scout cookies?

The price is $6 a package for all varieties.

The money stays within the local council after expenses.

Girl Scouts of Central Indiana troops in 2022 earned more than $1.75 million through the sales, which fund experiences in the outdoors, service projects, travel and STEM.

When and where can I buy Girl Scout cookies this year?

Girl Scout Daisies, Brownies, Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors in central Indiana sell the cookies, taking orders individually in person and online. You also can find cookie booths at malls, supermarkets and other businesses starting Feb. 3.

Find one on Cookie Finder, which goes live at girlscoutsindiana.org on Jan. 16.

Starting Feb. 27 folks can order cookies for shipment directly to their homes.

The season runs through March 12.

During cookie season the local Girl Scout council also runs Cookies for a Cause, allowing customers to buy packages of cookies and have them be delivered to military members, healthcare providers, first responders, and food pantries.
