We're nearly a month deep into 2022 and you've most likely already reneged on your pledge to go to the gym every day.
Why not make the surrender official with a few boxes of Thin Mints?
Cookie Season for the Girl Scouts of Southwest Indiana commenced in December and sales continue through March 6. If you personally don't know a scout to buy from, you can still purchase cookies via the organization's website at girlscouts.org. The site will take you to a "cookie finder" page, which will display instructions and a short form on how and where to order.
Starting Feb. 7, girl scouts will also be selling cookies at booths in front of major businesses in and around Evansville. That full list can be found here.
There are nine cookie flavors on offer from girl scouts in the area this year, including the new "Adventurefuls," described as "indulgent brownie-inspired cookies topped with caramel flavored crème with a hint of sea salt."
The nine cookie types:
Peanut Butter Patties
Peanut Butter Sandwich
Caramel Chocolate Chip
Cookie boxes cost $5 and the money goes right back to local Girl Scouts troops. The tradition of cookie selling in the Girl Scouts goes back more than 100 years, and is "the largest girl-led entrepreneurial program for girls in the world," according to the Girl Scouts' website.
