Girl Scouts outing to Dallas Cowboys' stadium coming soon; registration deadline Friday

Girl Scouts still have time to join the annual “Girl Scout Sleepunder” at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys, Oct. 7-8.

This family event (parents and female siblings welcome) would be a great idea for the three-day weekend (Columbus Day holiday). For Abilene school students, it’s actually four days – the Friday before is a teacher workday and students do not attend.

Cost for the event is $63 per person. Price includes pizza, an opportunity to earn badges and possibly meet some Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders. Brownies should bring their personal teddy bear, doll or stuffed animal for the first aid experience.

Registration deadline is Friday.

Activities begin at 6 p.m. Oct. 7 and end around 8 a.m. Oct. 8. For those not comfortable spending the night, you can come for the evening activities only at a cost of $54.

A movie opportunity can be purchased for those staying overnight. But be prepared; everything is cashless (be sure to bring your plastic!).\

Bring your pillows, blankets, etc. Tents are allowed, but driving stakes into the field is not allowed. Strollers allowed, but no wagons, please.

Register for either event through gs-top.org under “Events” calendar. Specific information will be sent after registration. Contact: Customer Care, 800-582-7272 or customercare@gs-top.org. For specifics on this program, contact Sherrie Scott, 940-228-4832 or sscott@gs-top.org.
