Direct quote from Matvieieva: "The little girl was handed over to her grandfather in accordance with an order. A meeting was held with her grandmother, whom she recognised. Her grandmother is in Poland, so communication took place accordingly.

We have issued documents and obtained duplicates of the little girl's birth certificate. She is now leaving with her relatives, according to the order issued by the children’s service."

Details: This is the 36th case of a child under 14 arriving by themselves, without parents, during the evacuation to Zaporizhzhia.

Background: During the last evacuation from the Azovstal plant the invaders separated a woman and her 4-year-old daughter.

Ukrainians have demanded the release of the 4-year-old girl’s mother from captivity.
