Girls basketball Feb. 7 recaps: Castellone hits 1,000-pt. mark; Carmel seniors lead win

Tuesday's games

Briarcliff 49, Valhalla 44

Caroline Barbalato had 16 points and five rebounds Cat Carrafiello hit for 15 points, pulled down 10 rebounds and had six assists and Adrianna Scanga had nine points and nine rebounds.

Cyndey Waterman had 16 points and Sunai Wilson had 12 points for Valhalla.

Westlake 62, Blind Brook 37

Allie Castellone had a game-high 16 points and became only the second Wildcat in program history to reach 1,000 points on varsity. ToniAnn Mastracchio and Sami Oswald added 12 and 10 points, respectively,

Kendall Konigsberg had a team-high 12 points for Blind Brook.

Carmel 58, Poughkeepsie 34

Senior Sadie Zion hit four 3-pointers and had a career-high 17 points, senior Amelia Rosario had 15 points and senior Megan Whitford added seven as the Rams celebrated their Senior Night.

Nahgahal Braithwaite led Poughkeepsie with 12 points.

Albertus Magnus 56, Immaculate Heart (NJ) 38

Last year, Albertus Magnus had to go to double overtime to beat Immaculate Heart. Not so Tuesday. The area's No. 1-ranked local team took down New Jersey's top-ranked squad as three Magnus players reached double figures. Julia Scott had 16 points, 14 rebounds, three assists and two blocks, Karly Fischer hit for 14 points and had seven rebounds, four assists and three blocks, Allie Falesto had 13 points and three assists and Maddy Zuppe had eight points, four rebounds and five assists.

Dobbs Ferry 36, North Salem 32

Ella Moon had 13 points and Jacqueline O’Connor had 11 points, eight rebounds and six steals.

Jaiden Donovan had 12 points for North Salem.

Ursuline 53, Lincoln 12

Sophie Nascimento hit for 11 points, Meghan McDonald had nine and Ava Snyder had eight points.

Charlise Giles had a team-high eight points for Lincoln.

Clarkstown South 52, East Ramapo 30

Gabby Sanchez had a game-high 16 points and Fallon Shapiro added 12 during a game in which the Vikings sank eight 3-pointers and had 16 steals.

Kimora Chambers led East Ramapo with nine points.

White Plains 56, Fox Lane 20

Ineivi Plata had 19 points and three assists, Aliya McIver had 12 points and six assists and Capri DeMara also reached double figures with 12 points.

Riley New had eight points for the Foxes.

Ossining 71, Port Chester 31

Zoey Jowers put in a game-high 16 points, Nicole Perriott and Angelica Rios each had 14 and Ty'Asia Carver had 13.

Jenna Provenzano and McKayla McLoughlin both had nine points for Port Chester.

North Rockland 50, Scarsdale 41

Sarai Gurley had 16 points, Alex Sullivan had 11 and Sophia Corretjer and Kiki Daly both hit for 10.

Hannah Wasserman had a game-high 23 points for Scarsdale and Zephyr Connolly also hit double figures with 10.

Ketcham 62, Arlington 39

The Indians won their league title on Senior Night and raised their record to 18-1 on the season as Cait Robertson hit for 15 points and Jenna Nardelli, Camryn Greene and Jaylyn Chorba each had 10 points.

Pleasantville 57, Rye Neck 39

Ruby Donahue poured in a game-high 21 points.

Halle Gellman had 17 and Ariana Hammer had 16 for Rye Neck.

Horace Greeley 55, Saunders 10

Senior Emma Rose marked Greeley's Senior Day by hitting for game-high 17 points, including five 3-pointers. Lauren Bergin,, Carolina Negrin and Bella Schulman each scored eight points. Bergin also had 10 rebounds and Negrin had seven rebounds.

Deanna Biancardi finished with 20 points, Carlie Brien had 17 and Elle Pinto and Riley Conway pulled down 12 and 10 rebounds, respectively, as the Eagles won the double-overtime thriller.

Bella Smith poured in a game-high 30 points for the Headless Horsemen and Shea Bertolacci and Eva Bertiz both hit for 12 points.

Panas 55, Harrison 45 (OT)

Ninth-ranked Panas, which had played no better than .500 ball since early January, appeared to break out of its funk Monday, taking down No. 4 Harrison after Cadence Nicholas hit a 3-pointer with just. .1 seconds left in regulation to send the game to overtime. Sofia Tavarez, who had back-to-back 3s in the OT, finished with 15 points. Nicholas had 14, Kelsey Cregan had 10 points and Sarah Chiuli had a big OT with a 3-pointer and two foul shots.

Mia Strazza hit for a game-high 20 points for the Huskies and Abby Trotta had 10.

Irvington 63, Woodlands 47

Anders Knapp poured in 21 points. Amanda and Alyson Raimondo combined for 20 and Kayla Clinton had eight points and six rebounds.

Ashari Emuze had 21 points for Woodlands.

Lakeland 67, Nyack 62

Nichole Ljuljic hit for a game-high 24 points. Amanda Franco had 23, Sarah Devane had 11 and Ava Lugo had nine points.

Jordan Brooke led Nyack with 18 points. Madison Aikens put in 15 points, Gianna Longo had 11 points and Aniya Celestine also reached double figures with 10 points.

Carmel 63, Roosevelt 34

Freshman guard Kylie Murphy hit for a career high 19 points, 15 of those points coming off 3s. Seniors Maeve McGlynn and Amelia Rosario both had 15 points.

Cierra Fontaine had a game-high 22 points for Roosevelt.

Nanuet 51, Hastings 44

Abby Daly had a team-high 14 points. Ava Diffley had 13, and Grace Ryan and Sally Plagainos both scored six points.

Katie Drozd hit for a game-high 20 for Hastings.

Pearl River 66, John Jay-Cross River 45

Kelsey Miedreich poured in a game-high 22 points, pulled in 19 rebounds and had three steals. Sarah Donohoe had 16 points and four steals and Mady Moroney had 11 points and six assists.

Miranda Martin had12 points and Mia Puccio had 11 points for the Wolves.
