Girls basketball roundup: Haslett tops Grand Ledge to remain unbeaten

HASLETT -- Isabel Lindo led all scorers with 16 points and snagged three steals for the Vikings in a nonleague home win over Grand Ledge. Ellie Humble notched 14 points, Durgen McIntosh tallied eight points and Maddie Fant hauled in five rebounds and three steals for Haslett (3-0). Olivia Navin scored a team-high 11 points for the Comets (1-2). JV score: Haslett d. Grand Ledge

OLIVET 42, CHARLOTTE 31

Payton Otto had 11 points and seven rebounds while Olivea Gessner and Drue Allen added eight points each for the Eagles (3-0) in their nonleague win. Charlotte (2-2) was paced by Lyndi Miller, who had 10 points. JV score: Olivet 38, Charlotte 22

DeWITT 62, ANN ARBOR PIONEER 26

DeWITT -- Senior Alex Charles led the Panthers with a team-high 12 points and hauled in seven rebounds in a nonleague home win over Ann Arbor Pioneer. Tara Kurncz picked up nine points, Gabbie Brya scored eight points and dished out six assists and Laynie Hanlin and Madison Uyl chipped in seven points each for DeWitt (2-0). JV score: DeWitt d. PORTLAND 71, OKEMOS 28

PORTLAND -- Malia Thelen was one of four players to score in double figures, finishing with 17 points for the Raiders in a nonleague win over Okemos. Summer Stopczynski had 14 points and Jayden Townsend and Lilly Thelen each added 10 points for Portland (2-1). Maya Kayab had nine points for Okemos.

ST. JOHNS 47, EATON RAPIDS 22

EATON RAPIDS -- Lily Sackrider finished with a game-high 13 points to help guide the Redwings to a nonleague victory over Eaton Rapids. Joce Kotowitz added on 10 points for St. Johns (3-0). Sofia Kingsley scored a team-high eight points and Kylie Alvarez chipped in six points for the Greyhounds (0-3). JV score: St. Johns d. Eaton Rapids

Delaney Seaman scored 33 points to pace the Yellowjackets in a victory over Chesaning. Libby Maurer and Lauryn Humphrey each had nine points for Ithaca.

Cadence Poll had 16 points and Liv Everitt registered a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds for the Vikings in a nonleague win.

MORRICE 60, VESTABURG 22

VESTABURG -- Aubrey Rogers finished with 26 points and 12 rebounds for the Orioles in their victory. Mackenzie Doerner added 18 points, five rebounds, five assists and eight steals for Morrice.

GRAND BLANC 61, HOLT 51

GRAND BLANC -- Janae Tyler had 19 points to pace the Rams (2-1) in their loss to Grand Blanc. Rhema Dozier and Allison Metzger each had eight points for Holt.

JACKSON 47, EASTERN 37

JACKSON -- Sam Cronkright scored a team-high 12 points and seven rebounds for the Quakers in a nonleague loss to Jackson (1-2). Avyanna Vidal tallied seven points and Kaleigh Pfeifer hauled in eight rebounds for Eastern (1-3).
