Girls basketball roundup: State-ranked Haslett rolls into district final

EATON RAPIDS — Grace Isenhath notched a game-high 15 points and hauled in six rebounds to help the Division 2 No. 6-ranked Vikings clinch a spot in a Division 2 district final with a win over Eaton Rapids. Isabel Lindo tallied 10 points and eight steals, Maddie Fant scored 10 points and Alexis Turner grabbed six steals, five rebounds and five assists for Haslett. Sofia Kingsley finished with nine points for the Greyhounds (7-17). The Vikings will head to the district final to take on Lansing Catholic (18-5) at 7 p.m. on Friday at Eaton Rapids.

PORTLAND 35, HASTINGS 22

LAKE ODESSA — Paige Spedoske picked up a game-high 10 points to lead the Raiders to a Division 2 district semifinal win over Hastings (8-16). Ella Gruber scored seven points and Isabella Spitzley tacked on six points for Portland. The Raiders (14-8) will move on to face Ionia (14-9) at 7 p.m. on Friday at Lakewood.

GRAND LEDGE 42, ST. JOHNS 33

DELTA TWP. — Ava Scanlon had 13 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Comets to a Division 1 district semifinal win over the Redwings. Alayna Armstrong added 12 points, six rebounds and three steals and Olivia Navin finished with seven points for Grand Ledge. Jocelyn Kotowicz had 14 points to lead St. Johns.

IONIA 54, LAKEWOOD 51

LAKE ODESSA — Aubree White notched a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds to help the Bulldogs outlast Lakewood for a spot in a Division 2 district final. Lexi Daugherty finished with 12 points, Rajalyaj Esquivel scored nine points and Melayna Braman added on eight points for Ionia. Alli Pickard and Jose Harton each tallied nine points for the Vikings (14-8). The Bulldogs (14-9) will face Portland (14-8) at 7 p.m. Friday at Lakewood.

OVID-ELSIE 41, BATH 37

BATH — Ava Bates had a game-high 19 points and hauled in six rebounds as Ovid-Elsie recorded a Division 3 district semifinal win over the host Bees. Evalyn Cole picked up nine points and Braeden Tokar chipped in eight points for Ovid-Elsie. Aubrie Schaibly tallied 13 points and Anna Schaibly added nine points for Bath (7-16). The Marauders (19-4) advance to the district final to face Pewamo-Westphalia (16-6) at 7 p.m. Friday at Bath.

OWOSSO 40, CLIO 36

FLINT — Down eight heading into the final three minutes, the Trojans rallied to clinch a spot in the Division 2 district final with a victory over Clio (8-15). Danica Dwyer finished with a team-high 15 points, Reese Thayer tallied 10 points and Skotti Ball-Duley chipped in seven points and grabbed seven rebounds for Owosso. The Trojans (14-7) will take on Durand (15-8) in the district final at 7 p.m. Friday at Flint Hamady.

HOLT 77, OKEMOS 22

MASON — Janae Tyler had 31 points and 16 rebounds to lead the Rams to a Division 1 district semifinal victory over Okemos. Allison Metzger and Claire Tobias each added nine points for Holt, which advances to play in Friday's title game.

OLIVET 55, THREE RIVERS 28

VICKSBURG — The GLAC champion Eagles jumped out to a 23-2 lead in the opening quarter while rolling to a Division 2 district semifinal victory. Olivea Gessner had 15 points and five steals and Payton Otto recorded her sixth double-double of the season with 14 points and 12 rebounds for Olivet (18-4). Kara Priddy added eight points and 13 rebounds for the Eagles, who move on to play in Friday's title game.

DANSVILLE 59, BRIGHTON CHARYL STOCKWELL PREP 14

DANSVILLE — Megan Zeitz finished with 23 points for the host and No. 6-ranked Aggies in their Division 3 district semifinal win. Kourtney Mack added 15 points and Gracie Taylor scored 10 points to help Dansville advance to Friday's district final against Laingsburg.

PORTLAND ST. PATRICK 66, WEBBERVILLE 19

FOWLER — Addison Scheurer led the Shamrocks with 14 points and dished out four assists in their Division 4 district semifinal win over Webberville (8-15). Mattie Honsowitz finished with 12 points and Laynie Meredith notched 10 points, six assists and six steals for Portland St. Patrick (15-7).

PEWAMO-WESTPHALIA 51, ITHACA 32

BATH — Delaney Seaman paced Ithaca with 16 points in their Division 3 district semifinal loss.

JACKSON NORTHWEST 56 MASON 28

MASON -- Ava Clark finished with a team-high seven points for the Bulldogs in a Division 1 district semifinal defeat to Jackson Northwest (21-2). Josie Lator and Jocelyn Shattuck each added six points for Mason (12-11).
