Polls are now open for the Varsity 845 girls basketball player of the week for January 23-29.
Nominations are pulled from reports sent to Varsity 845. Players from Orange, Ulster and Sullivan counties are eligible.
Go to RecordOnline.com/sports and click on the Varsity 845 girls basketball player of the Week. Vote as often as you like (please, no computer bot voting) until 3 p.m. Friday. Winners will be announced via Twitter @Varsity845.
Athletes who win are ineligible for upcoming polls for the next five weeks; all restrictions will be lifted upon the start of championship season. Paige Girardi of Warwick won for the week of Jan. 9-15. There was no poll last week.

She scored 23 points as Sullivan West toppled Seward 46-37 on Thursday. She added 12 points in a 41-34 setback to Monticello on Friday.
Ashley Ingrassia, Fallsburg
She tallied 14 points as the Comets beat Liberty 42-35 on Thursday.
Grace Koehler, Highland
She scored 15 points as the Huskies downed Onteora 46-30 on Friday.
Zoe Mesuch, Wallkill
She scored 17 points as the Panthers nearly doubled up New Paltz 63-33 on Friday.
Aaliyah Mota, Monticello
She scored 26 points as Monticello beat Fallsburg 57-27 on Thursday. Mota added 20 points in Friday’s 41-34 win over Sullivan West.
Emily Palau, Goshen
She scored 15 points as the Gladiators fell to Beacon 49-32 on Tuesday.
Elizabeth Ukejianya, Goshen
She scored 18 points as the Gladiators rolled Seward 72-45 on Friday.
