Girls flag football: Here are the Sac-Joaquin Section playoff pairings
The first ever CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Girls Flag Football playoffs begins next week.
The section on Friday released the playoff brackets for the two-division postseason which begins with first round matchups on Tuesday, Oct. 24. All roads lead to Cosumnes River College for the section championships. Blue banners will be handed out to the winners on Saturday Nov. 4.
According to the section, participating leagues are the CAL, CCC, CVC, GEL, PVL, SFL, SJAA, TCAL and WAC. A total of 32 teams were divided into two 16-team brackets.
In Division I, Ceres (16-2) was awarded the six seed and Patterson (11-9) came in at No. 15.
Escalon (19-4) was named the top team in Division II and Orestimba (8-8) is the No. 15 team.
