Michelle Keegan has showed off her new hairstyle in an Instagram video.

The Our Girl actress is well-known for her straight hair, but has been experimenting with a curlier 'do this year.

Now she has taken that style a step further with some highlights and contouring, framing her face in a more mature way.

Michelle departed the war-themed BBC drama earlier this year to move onto other things, but exclusively told Digital Spy that she is glad they didn't kill her character Georgie off, leaving the door open for her to possibly return in the future.

But it turned out to be a moot point, as it was announced shortly afterwards that the show itself wouldn't be returning for a fifth series.

Earlier this year, Michelle recalled feeling pressurised to pose for lad mags in the early days of her career, when she was young and those kinds of photo shoots were commonplace in the industry.

"It wasn't something that I necessarily wanted to do," she explained. "I remember feeling very shy because I was really young.

"Now that I'm older, I realise that it is okay to say no to something that you don't feel 100% happy with. You don't have to do it because you think you have to do it."

More recently, the actress returned to the set of Coronation Street, where she played Tina McIntyre from 2008 until 2014, when the character was killed off. Whether she was just having a little visit to her old haunt, or filming something for a 60th anniversary TV special, we'll have to wait and see.
