Girls soccer: Vote for the Varsity 845 player of the week Oct. 24-31

This week's Varsity 845 Player of the Week poll is live. Finalists were chosen based on games played October 24-31 and on information reported on time to the Times Herald-Record.

The poll will be open until 2 p.m. Wednesday. Vote as often as you like (no robot voting, please). The winner will be announced at @Varsity845 and @KenMcMillanTHR on Twitter.

The first six winners have been Francesca Donovan of Monroe-Woodbury, Kathryn Scully of John S. Burke Catholic, Grace Druke of Pine Bush, Maddie Walsh of Cornwall (twice), Taylor Vogt of S.S. Seward and Caroline Connolly of Kingston.

Sophia Appello, Goshen

She scored twice as the Gladiators dumped Beacon 3-0 in a Class A semifinal on Monday.

Mackenzie Delmonico, Valley Central

She had a hand in all five goals, scoring three, as the Vikings toppled Warwick 5-0 in a Class AA semifinal on Monday.

Francesa Donovan, Monroe-Woodbury

She scored four goals in a 6-0 semifinal win over Pine Bush, and then provided the game-winning assist and insurance goal in a 2-0 win over Valley Central for the Class AA title on Wednesday.

Brooke Huleatt, Mount Academy

She had three goals and one assist to lift Mount Academy to a 7-0 win over Eldred in the Class D finals on Monday.

Kendall McGregor, Tri-Valley

Five points proved huge as Tri-Valley toppled Burke Catholic, 6-2, in a Class C semifinal on Thursday. She had three goals.

Eryn Primus, Goshen

She scored when it mattered most, with about one minute remaining, lifting the Gladiators to the 2-1 win over Minisink Valley in the Class A finals on Thursday.

Stephanie Reicherter, Seward

Her 12 saves provided the shutout support as Seward nipped Rhinebeck, 1-0, in a Class C quarterfinal on Tuesday.

Daisy West, O’Neill

She filled the scoresheet, scoring three and setting up two goals as the Raiders bounced Dover, 6-0, in a Class B quarterfinal on Monday. She tacked on two goals as O’Neill eliminated Spackenkill, 5-2, on Wednesday in the semifinals.
