Gisele Bundchen talks very public Tom Brady split as he moves on with Irina Shayk

Gisele Bundchen has got candid about the pitfalls of going through a break-up in the public eye.

The Brazilian model, 43, split from retired American football playerTom Brady, 46, last year after 13 years of marriage and two children together.

“Breakups are never easy, especially when there’s a whole media speculating every step of the way,” the catwalk star told the latest issue of Vogue Brazil.

Adding: “I’ve always trusted that every situation, no matter how challenging, has something to teach us and happens for our growth.”

The ex NFL quarterback has since moved on with Russian supermodel Irina Shayk, whom he was first photographed with last month when they were snapped cozying up in his car after spending the night together.

Bundchen told the publication that she ignores the headlines by staying focused on “my children, my health and my projects and dreams”.

She and Brady share son Benjamin, 13, and daughter Vivian Lake, 10. He also has a 15-year-old son called John “Jack” Edward with ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan.

Shayk, meanwhile, has five-year-old daughter Lea with her Oscar-winning actor ex, Bradley Cooper, 48.

Cooper is said to be “conflicted” by his former flame’s new romance.
