GJ Taxpayer Assistance Center reopens

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) announced the Grand Junction Taxpayer Assistance Center (TAC) is now open — again.

Additional funding from the Inflation Reduction Act allowed the IRS to hire more than 5,000 employees and reopen offices that were previously closed in order to improve taxpayer services.

The Taxpayer Assistance Center is on 400 Rood Avenue, and there is paid parking and public transportation close to the location.

All IRS TACs operate by appointment — to schedule an appointment at the Grand Junction TAC, you can call 844-545-5640 or schedule an appointment online. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and closes for lunch from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
