Glencoe man dies in motorcycle crash on Interstate 59

A Glencoe man was killed Tuesday night when his motorcycle collided with a truck, according to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency state troopers.

Ty D. Owens, 56, was traveling on Interstate 59 near the 177-mile marker when the 2020 Harley Davidson motorcycle he was driving stuck a 2015 Dodge Ram driven by Dantrel McGee, 27, of Winnsboro, Louisiana.

Owens was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred at about 8:37 p.m., about 6 miles south of Gadsden.

State troopers continue to investigate.
