A woman on probation for assaulting her boyfriend is in jail after police say she admitted to stabbing him to death Monday night at a Glendale apartment following an argument.

Raeann Tyree Antonio, 24, was charged on suspicion of one count of murder in the death of Nathaniel Richard Yardley, 29, according to Glendale police.

Just after 7 p.m., police received a 911 call from a neighbor saying Antonio told her she had stabbed Yardley at the residence near N. 51st Avenue and W. Frier Drive, police said.

According to court documents, the neighbor told police she had heard arguing between a male and female with the female being louder and at one point saying, "You did this to yourself." Then, the neighbor said, Antonio walked out with what would later be determined to be her two young children.

With a kitchen knife in hand, Antonio told the neighbor, "I just stabbed my boyfriend," according to court documents

Officers found Yardley in Antonio's apartment unresponsive, lying just inside the door with multiple stab wounds on his body, including his chest, arm and thigh, according to charging documents. Yardley was taken to Banner Thunderbird Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries at 7:43 p.m., according to Glendale police and charging documents.

A man interviewed by police said Antonio approached him with a large, bloody kitchen knife in hand and asked him for a ride and to use his cell phone, according to court documents. The man said she proceeded to call someone telling them "self defense" and "he came at me," adding on a call that she had hurt someone before handing him the knife.

Antonio was persuaded into returning to the apartment by a relative who lives with her but was not present during the alleged assault, according to court documents. Once at the apartment, Antonio was taken into custody.

"Defendant has a history of domestic violence aggravated assault involving the same victim and was on probation for that," read charging documents in the case.

Maricopa County Jail records on Wednesday morning showed Antonio was still in custody. She is being held on a $1 million bond, according to court records.

Antonio is due in court Aug. 15, according to court documents.
