'Glitch': New Netflix K-drama trailer teases comedic duos and alien abductions

The creators of Netflix’s “Extracurricular” get extraterrestrial in their newest trailer for the upcoming K-drama “Glitch.”

As seen in the trailer released on Thursday, “Glitch” follows a girl named Hong Ji-hyo, played by Jeon Yeo-been (“After My Death,” “Vincenzo”), who enlists the help of a UFO enthusiast to help find her missing boyfriend, uncovering a mysterious conspiracy in the process.

Jeon is joined by former After School member Nana (“The Good Wife,” “Swindlers”), who plays Heo Bo-ra, the leader of a UFO club and one of the few people who believe Hong’s story about her boyfriend’s disappearance.

Netflix Korea previously announced writer Gin Han-sai and Studio 329 — who were behind Netflix’s hit K-drama series “Extracurricular” — as the team behind this new project.

“Gin Han-sai, who enthralled audiences and critics with the much-lauded Netflix series ‘Extracurricular,' will once again keep viewers surprised with his bold writing style and keen insight,” Netflix Korea said. “In the upcoming series, Gin unravels an intriguing and intense story about members of a UFO club who pursue those who disappear in a mysterious beam of light. Their special quest, which seems preposterous to society at large, is told within the framework of a suspenseful comic thriller.”

“Glitch” will be released exclusively on Netflix on Oct. 7.
