Gloria and Emilio Estefan List Their Light, Bright Miami Guest Estate for $32 Million

If there was ever a place that was made for celeb spotting, it’s Miami Beach’s Star Island. Perched in the middle of Biscayne Bay, the exclusive neighborhood has housed everyone from Rosie O’Donnell to Puff Daddy.

But to be able to spot any celebs in this gated enclave, you have to be a member of the owners’ club. Fortunately, there’s a breathtaking piece of real estate available, and it happens to be owned by yet another pair of stars who live just down the street: Gloria and Emilio Estefan.

The famous Cuban-American crooner and record producer are longtime residents of the man-made island, having purchased their permanent house in 1986 for a grand total of $600,000, according to Curbed. A few houses down lies One Star Island, which the couple originally purchased for Emilio’s mother before transforming it into the most amazing guest accommodations ever.

Standing at a sprawling 7,988 square feet—which includes a main home and a separate home, presumably, for the guests’ guests—the estate has hosted plenty of A-list visitors over the years, including Cher, Jennifer Lopez, and Ricky Martin, according to the Sun Sentinel.

And, celeb ties aside, there’s way more here to get starry eyed over. The house, itself, is genuinely dreamy, perched on a 58,000-square-foot corner lot with water frontage and city views. The five-bedroom main house, completely renovated in ’95, sports a tropical Florida Keys vibe with its white-painted shiplap façade and gingerbread railing.

Inside, owners are greeted with cooling hardwood and marble floors, a contemporary white-washed kitchen with double ovens, and a cozy living room outfitted with a fireplace. The next-door three-bedroom guest house, meanwhile, features a large center courtyard with a Jacuzzi and living room with 30-foot ceilings.

If all of this isn’t to your liking, however, the Estefans are one step ahead of you. According to the listing, Gloria and Emilio have already secured new architectural concepts from world-renowned Uruguayan architect Carlos Ott. And while we’re quite smitten with the existing canvas, we’re very curious to see what this international visionary—who’s behind Paris’s famed Bastille Opera House in addition to some swanky Miami high-rises—has in store for One Star Island.
