Robin Roberts is celebrating a major milestone this week, and Good Morning America viewers are thrilled.

On Instagram, the 60-year-old broadcast journalist posted a photo of herself holding up nine fingers. Alongside the picture, she revealed in her caption that she and her partner, Amber Laign, and their dog, Lil Man Lukas, were enjoying a special meal for a very important reason.

"Quiet dinner at home w/ sweet Amber & @lil_man_lukas to mark 9 years since my bone marrow transplant," Robin wrote. "Everybody’s got something and I’m hopeful to be a reminder that this too shall pass. 🙏🏾❤️#lightlovepowerpresence"

In 2012, fans rallied behind Robin, a breast cancer survivor, when she had to undergo a bone marrow transplant to treat myelodysplastic syndrome or MDS, a rare blood disorder, per ABC News. Robin wound up receiving the transplant after 10 days of chemotherapy. While undergoing treatment, Robin took a leave of absence from GMA.

Reacting to Robin's great news, fans instantly sent many heart emojis and supportive messages her way. "Congratulations to you robin ❤️❤️," one fan wrote. "That’s awesome. Congratulations Robin. You are total class. Love your spirit and great work," another said. "You’re a gift to all of us Robin. So inspiring. Thankful to see your beautiful smile and Lil man’s too!❤️❤️," a different fan noted.

In 2017, Good Morning America celebrated the five-year anniversary of Robin's transplant, which included a special appearance from Robin's sister Sally-Ann, who donated her cells for the procedure.

"I'm so grateful, so, so incredibly grateful to Sally-Ann," Robin gushed at the time. In response, Sally-Ann said she felt "grateful" to see her sister "beaming with health."

During the same show, Robin continued to express how blessed she felt. "It's considered to be a rebirth. And I definitely felt that I was getting another chance at life."
