Goals, saves and PKs: Vote for IHSAA soccer players of the week (Sept. 26-Oct. 1)

Congratulations to Pike's Cesar Morales-Juarez on being voted Player of the Week for Sept. 19-24! Morales-Juarez posted back-to-back shutouts Saturday. His first came in the Marion County semifinals vs. Park Tudor; the second was vs. North Central, which he shut out through regulation, then made a save and netted the game winner in penalty kicks.

The Pike senior received 884 votes, followed by Brownsburg's Hailey Hoskins (758) and Pendleton Heights' Dylan John (676).

Here is a look at last week's top performers.

Gianna Alazar, North Central

The Panthers senior scored a goal and dished out a pair of assists in a rout of Lawrence Central on Monday. The midfielder also played a hand in a scoreless draw vs. Fishers.

Addy Beery, Martinsville

The sophomore striker scored three goals and added an assist over two games. Two of those goals came in a 5-3 win over Monrovia. Beery has 20 goals and nine assists on the year.

Tatum Coleman, Hamilton Southeastern

The senior forward netted a couple goals and an assist in a 4-1 win over Mt. Vernon. She enters the postseason with seven goals and 14 assists.

Elliott Cook, Lutheran

The senior midfielder had not scored since Aug. 22, but he came through Thursday night, scoring the game winner against Greenwood Christian Academy.

Addison Duncan, Bishop Chatard

The junior forward scored a goal and added an assist in a 6-2 win over Heritage Christian in the City semifinals, then netted the game-winning goal in the championship vs. Cathedral.

Megan Hamm, Carmel

The junior tallied her seventh goal of the season in the second half vs. Westfield, lifting the Greyhounds to a 1-0 victory.

Fabian Herrera-Fernandez, Ben Davis

The senior scored in the second half to lift the Giants to a 1-0 win over North Central.

Sam Holland, Noblesville

Holland scored twice and added a couple assists in a 4-1 win over Franklin Central. He's scored multiple goals in back-to-back games.

Connor Kacena-Merrel, Park Tudor

The freshman delivered in the clutch, scoring the game-winning goal in a 1-0 win over Covenant Christian.

Jenna Margiotti, Center Grove

Margiotti's first goal of the season was a game-winner, lifting the Trojans to a 1-0 victory over Guerin Catholic on Monday.

Kervens Saint-Paul, Speedway

The junior scored his fourth hat trick of the season, striking thrice in a 4-2 win over Monrovia. He has 21 goals and five assists entering sectionals.

Gael Sauzo, Arsenal Tech

The unflappable sophomore delivered with the City championship on the line against Cathedral, withstanding a barrage of shots over the final 11 minutes (including a last-second frenzy inside his own box) to lift the Titans to a 3-2 win.
