Goats found wandering on South Side brought to Chicago Animal Care and Control

The owner of three goats found wandering on the South Side contacted Chicago Animal Care and Control Wednesday to bring them home, officials said.

Earlier, the city agency posted photos of the three goats on Facebook, seeking to find their owner so they could be returned.

The three beauties were brought in as strays by a worker to the animal control facility at 2741 S. Western Ave.

They were found near 6000 S. Wood St., and officials said they were very friendly and eating normally. One of the agency’s partners supplied goat feed for them during their short stay.

As of Wednesday afternoon, the goats captured a little under 200 comments on Chicago Animal Care and Control’s Facebook page, and their images were shared more than 300 times.

The goats hadn’t been screened by a vet as of Wednesday afternoon, but officials said the owner was in the process of picking them up.
