Gobble Jog offering last-minute registration

Nov. 22—Online registration has closed for the Marietta Daily Journal MUST Ministries Gobble Jog, but prospective participants still have two chances to sign up.

In-person registration is available Wednesday, when MUST Ministries will be at the Cobb County Civic Center to distribute information packets and T-shirts to participants ahead of Thursday's race.

Wednesday's packet pickup event is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will feature food trucks, popcorn, a bounce house, Big Peach Running Company merchandise for sale and photo ops with mascot Colonel MUSTard.

Last-minute joggers can also sign up Thursday morning starting at 6:30 a.m. To do so, head to the registration booth on South Park Square, near Marietta Pizza Company. Participants who sign up for the 5K or 10K on race day will not have their race timed.

The 20th anniversary of the MDJ Gobble Jog kicks off at 7:30 a.m. Thanksgiving morning. The race is the largest fundraiser of the year for MUST, which serves homeless and struggling individuals and families with food, clothing, housing, employment and other services.

MUST expects 10,000 runners this year.
