Toho International has partnered with several companies for kaiju-sized events slated for Godzilla Day 2022 next week, including a first-ever screening of the 2002 movie “Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla” in U.S. theaters.

In partnership with Fathom Events, Toho International, the Japanese studio’s U.S. subsidiary, will screen the movie across 450 theaters in the U.S. on Nov. 3, along with a never-before-seen message from Toho International Chief Godzilla Officer Keiji Ota.

In addition to the 2002 movie, the original 1954 “Godzilla,” the first film of the franchise, will also be screened in U.S. theaters in Japanese with English subtitles. The films are screening in partnership with Alamo Drafthouse and will be available at select Alamo locations.

Toho International will also be organizing trivia events with King Trivia centered around the franchise that will run through the week of Nov. 3. “Blankos Block Party” will also feature Godzilla, Mothra and Mecha-Godzilla as playable characters in the social media party game.
