GoFundMe set up for Coach Kean's family
Sep. 19—A GoFundMe account has been started to help the family of Michael Kean pay for funeral and medical expenses.
The 34-year-old coach of Eubank Elementary's youth football passed away Saturday while coaching his teams at a Pulaski County High School event.
The GoFundMe, organized by Kristyn Russell, was set up because the husband and father of four didn't have medical or life insurance, according to the site.
"Michael will be so greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him," the GoFundMe description reads. "He had a heart of gold and would've helped anyone in need. We are in shock and definitely not prepared for this loss. Please consider donating to this wonderful family."
The fund can be found at https://tinyurl.com/bdz5pe88, or searching for the Michael Kean Memorial Fund on the GoFundMe site.
The family has also opened a memorial account through Citizens Bank (1850 S. U.S. 27).
"Checks can be made to Michael's wife Leah Kean, or in the name of Michael Kean Memorial Fund," family posted on social media.
Michael Kean's visitation will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday at Southern Oaks Funeral Home, with his funeral to be held Friday at 11 a.m.
