Flying to Phoenix from Cincinnati is about to get easier.

The Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport announced Wednesday that Frontier Airlines will launch nonstop seasonal service from CVG to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, starting in November.

Service to Phoenix from the budget airline will begin Nov. 5 and will run four times a week with an introductory fare of $99.

This new service means Frontier will have 11 total destinations from CVG, including Las Vegas, Nevada; Atlanta, Georgia and Miami, Florida.

“Frontier relaunching nonstop service to Phoenix is very exciting as it provides a great low-cost option for local travelers,” Candace McGraw, CVG's chief executive officer, said in a release. “Phoenix is a wonderful place to visit and has become one of the top 20 destinations from CVG in the winter months to travel.”

To be eligible for the $99 introductory fare, tickets must be purchased by 11:59 p.m. ET on Sept. 13. They are valid for non-stop travel on select days of the week from Nov. 5, 2022 through Feb. 2, 2023. Round-trip purchase is not required, and the following blackout dates apply:

  • Nov. 19-23; 25-28, 2022.

  • Dec. 16-18; 22-24, 2022.

  • Dec. 26, 2022-Jan. 3, 2023; Jan. 6-8, 17-18, 2023.
