Golden Corral buffet restaurant closes in Shiloh. Why and for how long?

Folks in the area may have noticed that Golden Corral at 3360 Green Mount Crossing Road in Shiloh is currently closed.

According to signage in the restaurant’s windows, the eatery is closed for remodeling. (A peek in the windows reveals furnishings covered with sheeting to keep it clean of dust and debris.)

When will Golden Corral reopen?

Senior Account Executive Mckenzie Karnes of Champion Management, the public relations firm for Golden Corral, stated in an email to the BND that the Shiloh location franchisees are “fully committed to reopening and are excited to be back this fall offering their Golden Corral staples and favorites.”

So over the next few months until the Shiloh location reopens, fans of the popular eatery can journey a bit farther to enjoy meals at the Alton location as well as the St. Louis location at 6110 S. Lindbergh Blvd.

The closing of the Shiloh location is part of the company’s ongoing process of remodeling and re-imaging its restaurants.

Golden Corral president and CEO Lance Trenary spoke about the process in a podcast in June 2022.

The location at 350 Homer Adams Parkway in Alton was remodeled last summer and is currently open for service.

A location in Collinsville closed during COVID and never reopened. The location was officially closed as of March 2022.
