PITTSBURGH, Pa. --- The fifth men's basketball poll of the season has been released by the United States Collegiate Athletic Association and the Kent State Tuscarawas Golden Eagles are ranked sixth in the nation in the USCAA D2 standings.
The Eagles were ranked seventh last week.
Despite having won a road game on Saturday over Bryant and Stratton Buffalo (60-58), the Golden Eagles (8-4) moved up just one spot and received 99 points in the latest poll. The Bobcats were ranked fourth in the USCAA D1 standings and inexplicably moved up a notch to third. KSU Tusc is 15 points behind fifth-ranked Penn State Mont Alto, having leap frogged Berkeley College (NY) who fell to seventh place.
The Golden Eagles are 36 points behind poll leading Penn State Wilkes Barre (11-1) with team power rating fifth overall in the USCAA D2, while their schedule power ranking is 14th overall.

The Golden Eagles host two home games this week, as Terra State comes to town for a Friday night matchup that begins at 7 p.m. On Sunday, the Eagles will be back in action against Bryant and Stratton Ohio in a 3 p.m. tipoff.
