Golden Gate Bridge Illuminated in Orange as Wildfire Smoke Envelops San Francisco

San Francisco residents awoke to hazy skies on the morning of September 9, as smoke from numerous wildfires burning in the state cast an orange hue over the Bay Area.

This footage shows the Golden Gate Bridge. Despite the apocalyptic backdrop, air quality was not as bad as in other areas of the state, according to official data.

Local meteorologists reported that on Wednesday morning a marine layer close to the city was buffering it from smoke.
