Last night’s Golden Globes not only saw hundreds of dreamy dresses hit the first major award show of the year, but also an array of noteworthy beauty looks.
While recreating an A-lister’s designer gown is most likely out of question, getting your favourite star’s beauty look is often both easy and budget-friendly.
At this year’s awards, the majority of stars kept their makeup simple. And while several stars including Helen Mirren, Priyanka Chopra, Olivia Colman and Zoe Kravitz went for a bold red lip, the majority opted for a studding nude lip.
Furthermore, celebs seemed to have a penchant for one nude lipstick in particular: Charlotte Tilbury’s Pillow Talk.
Numerous celebrity make-up artists, including Charlotte Tilbury herself, took to Instagram to give a breakdown of how they created a litany of glamorous red carpet looks. Salma Hayek, Michelle Williams and Busy Phillips’ make-up masterpieces all including the iconic lip color.
The original Pillow Talk Lipstick launched in February 2017 and has since become a cult favourite, many considering it the be the perfect nude shade.
Why, you ask? The matte nude has a velvety texture with pink undertones, which flatters all skin tones and lasts up to six hours.
There’s also a Pillow Talk ‘Lip Cheat’ lip liner that helps re-size and re-shape the appearance of your lips.
As for it being a top seller? The stats speak for themselves.
At the awards ceremony, Tilbury exclusively revealed that there would be a new addition to her best-selling Pillow Talk collection launching this month, which had been debuted on the red carpet.
The new Matte Revolution Pillow Talk Lipstick shade called ‘Medium’ was worn by Salma Hayek. It boasted a warm berry-pink tone that perfectly complimented her teal Gucci dress.
Michelle Williams’s make-up artist, Angela Levin, also revealed that the pregnant actor wore both the lip liner and lipstick in Pillow Talk to go with her Louis Vuitton gown.
Busy Philipps also wore the same lip concoction, which complimented the actors smokey burgundy eyeshadow and glitzy Monique Lhuillier dress.
