No Strike: Culinary Union reaches agreements with Las Vegas properties

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The Culinary Union reached an agreement with the final Las Vegas properties, representatives announced Sunday

An agreement was reached with Downtown Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas Sunday evening, union representatives announced. The tentative agreement was to a five-year contract. Additionally, union officials said Virgin Las Vegas was receiving more time, with a new tentative agreement with the resort just east of the Las Vegas strip expected within a few weeks.

This development averts a strike that would have occurred one week ahead of Super Bowl LVIII at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, union officials said.

Golden Nugget Las Vegas emerged overnight Sunday as one of remaining Las Vegas properties to reach an agreement with the Culinary Union ahead of a busy week in the entertainment capital of the world.
