Odds Checker: Warriors will take Game 2 vs. Grizzlies

Jason Radowitz writes: "The Grizzlies have been terrific defensively this season, holding teams to 109.6 points per 100 possessions while also holding teams to a 52.6% effective field goal percentage. Memphis has also forced 15% turnovers and the Warriors are known for turning the ball over at a high rate. Golden State turned the ball over 17 times but both teams ended up scoring 24 points off turnovers in this game. The Warriors, on the offensive end, are shooting a 55.3% effective field goal percentage and should end up getting really good looks throughout the series. Meanwhile, the Grizzlies are shooting a 52.8% effective field goal percentage and should end up struggling to find good shots knowing the Warriors are holding teams to a 51.3% effective field goal percentage. The Warriors shot 48.4% from the field in Game 1 while the Grizzlies shot 43.2% from the field. Those numbers should remain consistent throughout the series. The Grizzlies have a great future but the future is going to have to wait another season. The Warriors are going to win this game and eventually grab the series."

Top Bet: Grizzlies 118, Warriors 114

It writes: "Just like in the first round, the Grizzlies lost the series opener in this matchup against Golden State. In other words, this isn’t new to Memphis, which still looked good even in the loss in Game 1. Ja Morant shot 14/31 from the field to finish with 34 points to go with 10 assist and 9 rebounds. He’s probably going to have a much better series this time than against the Minnesota Timberwolves, and Game 1 was a nice start for Morant, who is averaging 23.3 points, 10.4 assists, and 8.7 rebounds per contest. The Grizzlies scored over 115 points in Game 1 even though Dillon Brooks and Desmond Bane shot a combined 6/23 from the field. It could get better for them in Game 2, as they usually have been more efficient offensively in the playoffs."

Estnn.com: Take Grizzlies to cover vs. Warriors in Game 2

It writes: "While the Grizzlies cannot count on Jaren Jackson Jr. to deliver another 33-point game, they must get a lot more out of Desmond Bane (nine points) and Dillon Brooks (3-for-13 shooting, eight points). They are the team’s best players after Morant and they were terrible in Game 1. Morant and Jackson were the only Grizzlies to hit 15 points. Both teams had 16 offensive rebounds, so cleaning up the boards better is going to be important. While the Warriors will welcome Green back in Game 2, the truth is the Grizzlies scored more points in the first half before Green was ejected than they did in the second half. But it is hard to see the best home team going down 2-0 in this series. Let’s go with the Grizzlies to cover and even the series."
