Golf Coaches Association of Wisconsin announces 2022 boys all-state team
Mason Schmidtke of Sheboygan North has earned first-team honors on the Golf Coaches Association of Wisconsin all-state team.
Schmidtke, who just completed his junior season with the Golden Raiders, finished in second place in Division 1 at the WIAA state tournament at Blackwolf Run in Kohler on June 7. He was one shot behind Will Schlitz of Eau Claire Memorial.
Schmidtke also won the Hartford sectional championship, finished second at the Oshkosh West regional and was player of the year in the Fox River Classic Conference.
Schlitz earned player of the year honors on the all-state team.

Ryan Darling of Green Bay Notre Dame and Rasmus Madsen of Appleton North earned second-team all-state honors. Tyler Johnson of Berlin and Winston Knobloch of Winneconne, who won the Division 2 individual state championship, made the third team.
Mason Haupt of West De Pere, Sam Hurley and Jakson Jazgar of Ashwaubenon, and Hogan Miller of Sheboygan North were honorable-mention all-state in Division 1.
Grant Delsart of Wrightstown, Dawson Fish of Xavier, Andrew Kettle of Sheboygan Falls, Frank Kujawa of Berlin and Casey Peters of Winneconne earned honorable-mention all-state in Division 2.

The Kohler trio of Lucas Albrecht, Reece Breitenbach and Everett Schroeder, Noah Gage of Marathon, Jacob Ganga of Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah, Conner Krach of Newman Catholic, Spencer Lynch of St. Mary Catholic, Cooper McLaughlin of Lourdes Academy/Valley Christian, and Michael Modahl of Sheboygan Christian were honorable-mention all-state in Division 3.
