- The LPGA tour's 2017 schedule will comprise 34 tournaments, one more than this year, plus the Solheim Cup and a $4.35 million increase in prize money to a total of $67.35 million. The number of US events will fall, with tournaments lost in Florida, San Francisco and Alabama and added in Indianapolis and Oneida, Wisconsin. The Scottish Ladies Open, co-sanctioned with the Ladies European Tour, and New Zealand Women's Open, won by Kiwi teen star Lydia Ko three of the last four years, were added to the LPGA line-up. The New Zealand Open, from September 28 to October 1, begins a run of seven consecutive LPGA events in the Asia-Pacific region. It brings the total number of LPGA events in the region to 10, with the Australian Open, LPGA Thailand and HSBC Women's Champions in Singapore all taking place in February.
